Attendance & Missed Classes Policy

Missed Classes and Make-up Policy

Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes, practical sessions, demonstrations, assessments, and examinations as per the allotted batch timetable.

La Bake Amore does not provide replacement classes, make-up sessions, repeat practicals, private lessons, one-to-one coaching, transfer to another batch, online recordings, refunds, fee adjustments, extensions, or any other compensation for classes missed by a student for any reason whatsoever.

This policy applies irrespective of the reason for absence, including but not limited to:

  • Illness, medical conditions, hospitalization, surgery, pregnancy, or medical emergencies.
  • Family emergencies, bereavement, weddings, festivals, religious functions, or social commitments.
  • Employment obligations, business travel, examinations, interviews, office work, or relocation.
  • Traffic delays, transportation issues, vehicle breakdowns, flight or train cancellations.
  • Personal reasons, vacations, weather conditions, natural events, or any other circumstance beyond the student's control.

Medical certificates, doctor's prescriptions, hospital records, or any other documentary evidence shall not entitle the student to replacement classes, fee refunds, fee credits, extensions, or transfer to another batch.

Students who miss a class are solely responsible for catching up on the missed topics through their own efforts, including referring to class notes or consulting faculty during regular class hours, subject to faculty availability. Faculty members are under no obligation to re-conduct practical sessions or demonstrations that have already been completed.

The institute plans faculty schedules, classroom capacity, ingredient procurement, equipment allocation, and batch sizes in advance. Providing individual replacement classes is operationally impractical and would be unfair to other students who attend their scheduled sessions. Accordingly, no exceptions shall be made under any circumstances unless expressly approved in writing by the Management at its sole and absolute discretion. Any such approval shall be exceptional in nature and shall not constitute a precedent for future cases.

Students are advised to enrol only if they are reasonably confident of their ability to attend the course according to the published schedule.
