About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Pastry Chef Instructor to join the academic team at La Bake Amore – Baking Science Academy.

The role combines professional pastry expertise, teaching, mentoring, curriculum development, and kitchen leadership. The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of bakery and pâtisserie, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire students while maintaining high standards of discipline and professionalism.

You will play an important role in developing the next generation of professional bakers and pastry chefs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and standardise new recipes, products, and baking techniques
  
• Teach hands-on practical and theory sessions
  
• Demonstrate professional bakery and pâtisserie techniques to students
  
• Break down complex techniques into clear, practical steps so students can understand and master them
  
• Mentor students and help them develop professional confidence, discipline, and work ethic
  
• Evaluate student work and provide meaningful, constructive feedback
  
• Identify areas where students need improvement and provide appropriate guidance
  
• Develop, improve, and update course curriculum, recipes, lesson plans, and training modules
  
• Contribute ideas for new courses, workshops, demonstrations, and learning experiences
  
• Maintain high standards of taste, texture, presentation, consistency, and execution
  
• Ensure recipes and production methods are practical, repeatable, and aligned with professional industry standards
  
• Help manage day-to-day kitchen and training operations
  
• Ensure proper preparation, mise en place, equipment usage, and workstation organisation
  
• Maintain strong standards of food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and kitchen discipline
  
• Ensure students follow professional kitchen practices and safety procedures
  
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient training environment
  
• Work closely with the academic and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of classes
  
• Support assessments, practical examinations, student demonstrations, and other academic activities
  
• Stay updated with current bakery, pastry, and pâtisserie trends and techniques
  
• Experiment with new ingredients, techniques, products, and presentation styles
  
• Represent La Bake Amore professionally and contribute to maintaining the academy's standards and reputation
  
• Create a learning environment that is professional, energetic, disciplined, supportive, and inspiring
  

What We Are Looking For

• 3+ years of professional experience in bakery, pastry, or pâtisserie
  
• Strong practical knowledge of professional baking and pastry techniques
  
• Previous experience in teaching, training, mentoring, or supervising junior chefs is preferred
  
• Strong understanding of ingredients, recipes, techniques, and baking science
  
• Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, structured, and engaging manner
  
• Excellent practical and organisational skills
  
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
  
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
  
• A disciplined and professional approach to work
  
• Ability to manage a classroom and kitchen environment effectively
  
• Passion for teaching and developing aspiring baking professionals
